How to Wash a Synthetic wig

Your go-to guide on how to wash your synthetic wig from start to finish.

How often should i wash my wig?

How often you wash your wig depends on how often you wear it or if you use hair products on it or not.

If you love to restyle your wigs using heat or hair products or even love wearing your wig almost every day; we recommend washing your wig 4 times a month (once a week)  to keep your wig conditioned, soft and refreshed.

If you only wear your wig occasionally and do not use products on it then we recommend only washing your wig 1-2 times a month.

Our wigs do not need high maintenance and are made with the softest hair to ensure your wigs do not go stiff, however using styling products can make this happen over some time, which is recoverable with a good wash.

STEP 1

Wide-tooth or finger comb to de-tangle your wig. This will make it easier to comb your wig once its wet.

STEP 2

Prepare warm water , using Wig shampoo/conditioner to clean your wig.

We do not recommend using shampoo/conditioner that you would apply on your natural hair, this may dry out your wig; wig shampoo may be specifically built in with ingredients to soften the wig so for best results please use the proper products.

STEP 3

Again, wide tooth or finger comb your wig whilst its wet. Handle with care and wash gently.

STEP 4

Renew the water so its clear and rinse your wig thoroughly, if needed rinse again.

STEP 5

Pat your wig dry or blow dry. Do not leave your wig hanging wet or scrub your wig with a towel as this will make it tatty and knotted.
